An Enquiry into Modern Science & Objectivity

A brief overview of the foundations of Modern Science, and its claims of objectivity as a basis for building a worldview.

I shouldn’t find this nearly as funny as I do.

I was having a conversation with a friend recently about current events and he said, “well I know you’ve become pretty religious, and that has a big impact on your view of these issues.” Hidden in this comment is an assumption that he, as an atheist, is able to view the world and events objectively. The problem is there is no such thing as an objective observation, and belief in such a possibility isa matter of faith. This is a common misconception stemming from the modern scientific worldview. When we scratch just below the surface of the modern scientific worldview, we discover an absurd fantasy which one could only believe if it were forced upon them by a lifelong cultural catechism. For the last several generations the modern scientific religious worldview (or Scientism) has been forced upon our society from childhood on.
