Nice article, very clearly written and presented . As we commemorate 100 years from the martyrdom of St. Tikhon, it is clear which Church is following our holy tradition and remaining faithful to Christ , and which Church is pursuing worldly gain.
you are obviously on the Kremlin 's payroll, hope you are enjoying spreading lies, misinformation, and deepening the schism in the Orthodox Church, by worshipping Russian imperialism!
The Schism in the Orthodox Church rests solely on the shoulders of Constantinople. They have repeatedly invaded the canonical territory of universally recognized churches - against their own past decrees - and invented powers for themselves. Maybe if you spent a little more time reading the history of our Church, its theology, and engaging in its life, instead of gorging yourself on worldly feminist thinking and secular-left wing propaganda, you'd see just how far you are from the Truth. But you won't. Seeing the Truth would be too painful.
What does "Russian imperialism" have to do with Constantinople's invasion of the UOC's canonical territory in 2018? What does "Russian imperialism" have to do with Constantinople's invasion of the Estonian Orthodox Church's territory in 1993? What does it have to do with Constantinople's betrayal of St. Tikhon of Moscow, recognizing the Soviet "Living Church" as the "legitimate church" While St. Tikhon and the Russian Church were being brutalized by the Bolsheviks in the greatest persecution in the history of the Christian Church? What did Russian imperialism have to do with Meletius carving off Finland? Czechia?
The answer: NOTHING
Unlike you (who always posts the shallowest of accusations with nothing to back it up) I have receipts. But sure, go ahead, follow your "All Holy" Pseudo-Pope right into the Abyss.
Wait, what? You do not actually receive funding from the moscow patriarcate? Sorry I assumed, since you promote with such blind zeal the politics of the moscow patriarcate, which sits in the Kremlin btw (they are indistinguishable at this point), that it must be your paid job... sorry for the misunderstanding.
Well, we have differing perspectives that's for sure, and I could return your vileness directly back at you, about spending a bit more time reading the history of our Church (it does not begin in russia), it's theology, and engaging in its life, would help with the fanaticism about a disgraceful war between two brother orthodox nations, which already escalated back in 2014, way before the Patriarch granted autocephaly (independence) in 2018. In any case, we should be praying for the restoration of unity in our Church, not fighting amongst us because of political differences.
And yes, I like radical feminism, which is compatible with my Orthodox values (not liberal feminism, which follows market economy in viewing womens bodies as a commodity for profit, thus arguing that "sex work" is empowering, instead of inherently inhuman and degrading), and no, I do not read left wing propaganda, whatever that means for you, where I live we distinguish socialism from communism and there are green political parties in power as well. In closing, I would recommend you discover orthodox theologian Zizioulas, one of my favorites. Peace in Christ.
Don't patronize me. You speak of unity while accusing the largest jurisdiction of the Orthodox Church of being little more than a government agency? That's rich. Really highlights your hypocrisy and double speak.
Speaking of vileness, should I pull and catalogue your various comments across my posts? You've done nothing but accuse me of being a foreign paid asset - essentially an accusation of treason - is that what you consider being polite and cordial? That you think anyone with a different opinion of the situation (one based on 11 years of consistent research and interacting with first hand sources on the ground) must be a "paid agenda," shows the depths of your own ignorance.
The Kremlin is a large complex, churches are present there, as are government entities, just as it was in Constantinople, ancient Serbia, Bulgaria, Rome. To pretend that that makes the Church "indistinguishable" from the state is ignorant at best, willingly pushing a false narrative to disparage the Church you claim to be a member of at worst.
It should worry you that the media is intentionally misrepresenting and attacking the Church, and you should be ashamed that you're parroting such nonsense as if the same narratives couldn't be turned against your own jurisdiction. The Patriarch of Constantinople didn't grant anything except a license for persecution and bloodshed. His aim, to create a single Ukrainian Church, failed, and there are still three churches in Ukraine. Only, the one he sponsored is now persecuting the one that has a historical and canonical basis. Maybe you should read Met. Nikiforos of Kykkos analysis of the Ukraine Schism. Maybe go to Cyprus and ask him why he refuses to recognize the OCU.
As I've made clear, I don't support Russia's war, and the journalistic outlet I work for has unequivocally condemned the invasion and reported on the destruction of churches by the Russian army. We have also reported extensively on the persecution you claim is "Kremlin propaganda."
Clearly you've been wasting your time with all of your reading. Feminism, especially Radical Feminism, is in no way, shape, or form reconcilable with Orthodoxy. But, we will be starting our next series of catechetical lectures at our parish the Sunday after next. I'll send you a link if you'd like to learn the basics of the faith.
I have learned a lot from your articles. Thank you!

If you hear from the Kremlin, let them know I'm still waiting for the check.
